About Brett Tollman
Brett Tollman is the Chief Executive Officer and President of The Travel Corporation (TTC), a firm that consists of several niche brand tour operators, luxury hotels, leisure services and travel industry professionals. In his family, he is the third generation in the business and has been working in the travel industry for about 30 years. As the new Chief Executive Officer of TTC, he recently relocated to the US state of California, where he lives with his wife and three children.
Business Experience In 1997 Brett G. Tollman started working with The Travel Corporation. As Vice Chairman initially, he was responsible directly to the CEO. His role included the responsibility of certain industry relations and market sectors as well as being the company representative at the World Travel and Tourism Council. The Travel Corporation provides exclusive travel arrangements and tourism packages for numerous market segments of the travel industry. The company works with such companies as Trafalgar Tours, Insight Vacations, Destination America, Brendan Vacations, Contiki Holidays, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises and Busabout. Unique Travel Opportunities Recently in an interview, Brett Tollman discussed the diverse and high quality travel services offered by The Travel Corporation. For instance, the Corporation uses smaller coaches for guided tours through cities, giving the traveler a more intimate experience by traveling with a smaller group with Brendan. With a smaller group, they are able to do and see more. It has also revamped the dining experience on some tours by breaking up into small groups and enjoying different restaurants, as offered by Insight Vacations with its signature “Dine Around” program. Trafalgar offers very unique experiences (Be My Guest) where one gets to learn about a working lemon farm in Sorrento, and then have a meal cooked for the group by the owners of the estate, or learn about a wine chateau in France. Escorted tours with TTC focus on experiencing the in depth cultural, historical, culinary and experiences of the destinations it serves in a seamless, hassle free way, with a consistently high quality of service and value. The company has also introduced new experiences for multi-generational travel, which is very popular. Background Prior to his roles at TTC, Brett Tollman worked for the New York company, T-H Hotels. The hotel group owned and managed about 150 hotels and Brett G. Tollman oversaw those day-to-day operations, sales and marketing. Brett Tollman has also been involved with the Red Carnation Hotels Collection since the early 1990’s when he took on the role of Chief Executive Officer. Red Carnation Hotels is an expanding collection of luxury hotels, located mainly in Europe, the US and South Africa. As CEO, he is involved in every aspect of running the company, including capital investment, operations, maintenance of the properties and public relations. In 2007 Brett G. Tollman became the managing director at a number of companies. In this role, he oversaw travel arrangements for Europe visitors working with major European tour operators. Activism As a founding member of The Travel Corporation's nonprofit organization, The Conservation Foundation, Brett G. Tollman is taking steps to try and help protect the environment for future generations. He also donates his time towards helping others through the Young Presidents Organization and programs initiated and supported by TTTC. As Vice Chairman of The World Travel and Tourism Council, Brett Tollman helps to raise awareness of the positive elements of the travel and tourism industry. |
